These prescription medicines are administered by our physicians as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscle between the brows. They work by temporarily blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles.
This reduces the muscle activity that causes formation of moderate to severe lines of facial expression. Dosing can be adjusted to allow varying degrees of weakening to these muscles. The facial muscles left untreated work normally.
